Description: 1800s Early 1900s French German Leather Fire Brigade Helmet I'm unsure exactly what country this helmet is from I'm Guessing French , German so please conduct your own research. Black Leather Helmet with Brass top. The leather is all in good condition with the exception of the rear inside leather flap that's very brittle and mostly has deteriorated. The outside rear leather flap is intact and looks great!. The leather 1/2" ring strap design that goes around the helmet has come unstitched in area's. The chin straps look good and the Outside black leather is still flexible. Item sold as pictured and is. Nice antique helmet that would make a great addition to any collection!!
