Description: This is an original antique (very early 20th century) handmade wood 10 compartment desktop office organizer cabinet featuring door on the top center compartment with a carved sunburst pattern between two urns, all with gold painted accents. The remainder of the front and shelf surfaces are covered in very old black paint, but the sides, top, and bottom are free of paint and have acquired a naturally darkened, almost weathered gray appearance. There are a few tight cracks in the wood, but the entire piece is sturdy and solid with no loose pieces. The paint is thick and crackled in some areas and there are some scratches and surface wear from age and use. The door no longer latches tight but opens and closes easily and stays shut if the unit is set on a level surface. Most compartments are sized appropriately for standard business (or smaller) envelopes or tri-folded 8 1/2" x 11" documents. This could also hold photos or other paper items. Outer dimensions are 27 1/4" L x 7 1/2" W x 9 1/8" H and the compartment with the door measures 6 1/4" L x 5 3/4" D x 5 1/2" H. It will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping.
