Description: Antique large hand-woven basket with a lid, made by the Nootka tribe; made in the early 1900s to 1920s. Nootka lived on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It is an original and collectible item. It represents the culture of the Nootka tribe. Measures with lid 6 1/2" wide x 6 1/4" tall. In very good condition for age; just some light fading to colors and an indentation or push on one side of the body; maybe it was pressed against something---but no breaks or cracks to weave. Leave as is or try to push it back out. No big deal to the overall appearance2 of the basket. See all photographs and details as No Returns. Early 1900's to 1920s. Nice top on lid that is firmly intact. A nice larger basket of this type,
