Description: Antique Hibbard Spencer Bartlett Co. OVB “Our Very Best” Bovine Handle 14” Carving Knife, in Excellent Used Condition. There is No Damage anywhere on this knife. The Bovine handle is still fully intact and damage free. The 9” Straight Blade is still nearly flawless. Only the light staining from a very long life, is the only damage to this knife. It is cosmetic only. There is no pitting in the metal, the light marks are surface stains. Also the blade is still incredibly straight, it has a decent tip/point and a decent edge. It could be sharpened for better use. I will leave that task to the new owner. I was told by a collector that this is early 1900’s, making it at least a 100 year old carving knife with a Bovine handle that is still in great shape. I believe this will make a wonderful addition to someone’s collection.
