Artists include Marian Anderson, Enrico Caruso, Ezio Pinza, Vladimir Horowitz, Sergei Rachmaninoff. Cole Porter, Perez Prado, Andre Previn, Jeanette MacDonald and Kurt Weill. The catalog is in good condition overall. There is minor surface wear the the covers and a slightly bent spine. There is a name written on both covers and the title and back pages. Inside there is just light age tanning. A word about this collection: This and the other antique music catalogs and books that we are listing all came from the same collector, who by all accounts was dedicated to collecting records and music ephemera throughtout his life. We never met the man, but have pieced together a portrait based on what we found when we purchased the lot. He was a prolific walker in his early days - a New York Times article from the early 1950s describes the then 18-year-old crossing the entire country on foot, beginning in the Bronx and working odd jobs along the way. In later life he often traveled by train to reach record stores, and the collection of books shows that he started in the 1950s and kept going up until his death a few years ago. All items appear to be original, and though some are not dated the collection as a whole bears the stamp of authenticity. * Please review all of the pictures and feel free to ask questions.
