Description: Fantastic Overprint Errors of the USPS Eagle and Barcode designs on both the New and Old Flag ATM stamps FROM THE NEW APC / SSK Machines ! Please read the following closely, as it explains the uniqueness of what I'm offering with this lot: This lot includes:USPS Eagle overprint error on the New Flag stamp (from a new SSK machine)Barcode overprint error on the New Flag stamp (from a new SSK machine)USPS Eagle overprint error on the Old Flag stamp (from a new SSK machine)Barcode overprint error of the Old Flag stamp (from a new SSK machine)While similar overprints (with the USPS Eagle) have been offered in the past, the KEY DIFFERENCE is that these overprint error were done by one of the new SSK (APC) ATM machines that were put into service starting mid/late-August 2018. And I am offering both the old and NEW flag design stamps, both with USPS Eagle & barcode version overprint errors! Note: The regular (non-error) versions of these stamps are: Scott #CVP91b (for the "old" blue-flag design) and Scott #CVP108 (for the "new" red flag design). The new machines were supposed to be using the new flag design label (CVP108) and but many post offices wanted to use up the old flag designs (CVP91b) in the new machine. Since these machines are of a new redesign and they were apparently not set up correctly (at the factory) and thus is printing the USPS Eagle design (which is supposed to be only printed on plain white labels, not pre-printed flag labels)! How can you tell that these were printed on one of the new machines? Simple - on the new machines, the human readable serial number now begins with a number (8801 and 8472 on these 2 sets of stamps), rather than a letter (which was usually A through G, followed by numbers) on the old machines. So, the combination of both the new & old flag designs, printed from a new APC/SSK machine AND with the both the Eagle and barcode version overprint ERRORS is offered for the first time by anyone (that I know of)! If you are an advanced collector of the APC / ATM stamps, then this will be a very nice addition to your collection. Since late 2018, all machines have been set up properly and these overprint errors are generally not seen anymore. I have a couple of these sets, the scan is representative of one of them. Reasonable price considering that you are getting 4 different error stamps!
