Titled Brigitte #8 to the lower right, this abstract work features a grid a of geometric shapes in pale blue, green, and white. Signed and dated to the lower right, the painting is mounted and framed in a black wooden frame. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1917, Charles Elmer Harris later changed his name to Beni E. Kosh, meaning "Son of Ethiopia". Kosh studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art and later worked with the “Sho Nuff Art Group”. His work was unrecognized during his lifetime. Measurements:11.75" x 11.75" x 2" (frame); 10” x 10” (painting). Condition:Age appropriate wear. The edges of the painting are not cut straight.
