Description: This is a great VICTORIAN ANTIQUE FRONT DOOR or SERVANTS BELL. Mid 19th Century. The bell set measures approx 8 3/4 inches (225mm) tall, and is complete with its wall mounting spike, (see photos). The bell itself measures approx 3 1/2 inches (90mm) tall by 3 1/2 inches (90mm) in diameter, and is made from solid brass. The mechanism works as it should; the springs are nice and springy, and the bell gives a good loud, clear ring. It is in good, antique condition with light wear consistent with its age, but no major damage. This is a fine example of its type and it would make a great addition to any collection.
