First off, it has a 5-piece SR4 maple/rosewood neck and light body with smooth rounded edges and a deep, lower cutaway for better access to the upper frets. For electronics, the SR300E features two POWER SPAN passive pickups. Designed by Ibanez, Equalization chores are handled by Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band eq. This allows the control to be more effective in creating useful, popular bass tones. The Ibanez SR300 4-string bass packs many features of the upper-end SR. With the same-SR smooth and fast neck, which is reinforced with 3 piece Maple woods, you'll never feel playing bass is difficult. It also features 24 frets which allow you to access 2-octaves easily thanks to its smooth All Access Neck Joint. Compact body is lightweight and extremely comfortable for both sitting down and standing up. My Factory 2nd guitars and basses are a tremendous value. These guitars are often sold at hundreds of dollars less than their 'new' counterparts. Factory 2nd guitars are deemed as such directly from the manufacturer and have never been previously sold in retail or distributed to a music store. They are marked as a 2nd by the manufacturer when they fail to pass final inspection. They usually have a minor cosmetic finishing flaw that prevents them from being sold as new instruments. These instruments do not have major flaws (UNLESS STATED). These blemishes do not affect the playability of the instruments at all. Apart from the defect listed they are perfect, all the electronics, pickups, tuners, neck and frets etc. are good. I buy my guitars and basses directly from the manufacturer. There is no manufactures warranty and sometimes it is difficult to identify why some of these guitars were marked as seconds. Each instrument gets set up and checked by me before it is released for sale. Some of the models are discontinued and have no issues at all. Instruments are stamped with an S on the back of the headstock.
