Description: Half-plate daguerreotype of a little girl seated at a small table with light blue tinting. The chair might have a slight hint of original red tinting as well, but I'm not 100% on that. She's wearing lace gloves, a painted necklace and a dress with several pieces of painted accents. Mat is stamped: "J. GURNEY 349 BROADWAY" Full case with separated covers and some white paper tape residue on the spine. The dag has a tarnish ring, and several tiny mold spiders. Please note there are three very light and short scratches on the plate: one directly above her head and two in the background to the right. They didn't show up in my scan and are very difficult for me to notice when viewing the dag straight on... I can see them if I tilt the dag around. I've uploaded a cell phone pic but I'm not sure they showed up on that, either. There is also a little spot right underneath her eye.. looks like tarnish and not a scratch or corrosion. There are no other issues of note. The seals are in place but no longer affixed. Boxed and insured Priority Mail or FedEx 2-Day Air, TBD by seller at time of sale.
