If an event occurs, the battery wakes the Nextbase camera, capable of recording multiple incidents. It's not intended for standalone use like an action cam. Upon removal from direct power, the dash cam enters sleep mode, conserving battery for Intelligent Parking Mode. Adding the hardwire kit extends surveillance using the car’s battery. Do I have to use a Nextbase SD card? Our specially designed SD cards undergo rigorous testing to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. Equipped with wear leveling technology, our SD cards ensure that data is written evenly across the memory cells, enhancing durability and reliability. We recommend regular formatting every 2-3 weeks to further optimize SD card performance.
