Description: Sid Meier's Civilization is a is a turn-based strategy game series, where players build a civilization from a primitive tribe to an empire. While balancing all aspects of city, country, and empire management, the player must construct and improve cities, train military and non-military units, improve terrain, research technologies, and choose make war or peace with other civilizations. Civilization II is similar to the first Civilization video game, with some changes to and additions of units, civilizations, and technologies. The world map was changed from a top-down view to an isometric representation. Civilization III, while not personally developed by Sid Meier, added many more aspects and complexity to the game. Alpha Centauri, developed by Sid Meier and considered a spiritual sequel to the Civilization series, is played in the same isometric manner as the other real-time strategy games in the series. Gameplay follows seven competing ideological factions of human colonists that land on the planet Chiron in the Alpha Centauri star system, and compete for resources as they colonize the planet. Included is four (4) PC CDs: Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri (PC CD, 1999), Civilization II (PC, 1996), and Civilization III (PC, 2001) plus bonus disk. Other expansions or later versions are NOT included. This is a CD for use in PC with a CD-ROM disk drive. Very good condition; disk has not been tested.
