Description: Measuring about 8" x 11", and 396 pages long (but paginated as 792 columns, in two-column format), this hardback Latin-language book is Volume 4 of the 9-volume set "Sancti Joannis Chrysostomi, archiepiscopi constantinopolitani, Opera omnia, castigata ad manuscriptos codices gallicos, vaticanos, anglicanos, germanicos, etc., necnon et ad savilianam et frontonianam editiones, nova interpretatione, ubi opus erat, praefationibus, monitis, notis, variis lectionibus illustrata, nova sancti doctoris vita, appendicibus locupletata, opera et studio monachorum ordinis sancti benedicti e congregatione S. Mauri. Editio novissima, emendata et auctior." It is dated 1852 and published in Paris by J-P. Migne. Based on the pre-title page shown in the fourth picture, it appears to be part of an even larger set of "Patrologiae Cursus Completus." Both title pages bear the ownership stampings of the Missionaries of Notre-Dame de Salette in Hartford, Connecticut. It has clearly been re-bound, and rather amateurishly at that, and the binding is coming apart at the inside spine hinges. Although many of the pages still have uncut edges, it also has typical page edge wear for a book of this age, and some of the pages show signs of foxing.
