Description: US Navy F-14A Tomcat Model Kit Product Introduction This is a 1/48 scale plastic assembly kit of the US Navy F-14A Tomcat, which flew as the world's most powerful carrier-based air defense fighter from 1970 until its retirement in 2006. The F-14A was also exported to Iran, where it is still maintained independently and deployed on the front lines as the main force in air defense. Three types of air-to-air missiles, including the AIM-54A Phoenix, are included as standard with the kit. The canopy reproduces the Ω cross section using a slide mold. You can choose to open or close it even after completion. Two figures are included: a pilot in a seated position and a radar interceptor officer. The engine nozzle is available in two types: a throttled state for cruising and a fully open state for afterburner use. The refueling globe on the right side of the model comes with parts in the deployed and retracted states, and you can assemble it with or without the cover. The variable type main wing is inserted into the core spar part after the aircraft is assembled. Consideration has been given to ease of painting. The left and right main wings are securely linked by gear meshing. Two types of "airbags" that fill the gaps that occur when the main wing moves and two types of "sealing panels" on the top of the main wing globe are available. They can be replaced even after assembly is completed. There are three types of slide marks: two popular high-visibility paint era types and one Iranian Air Force type.
