Description: vintage louis marx steam line electric train set no. 10000 with original box for parts or repair. the remote control is missing. we tested the transformer with a voltage meter and got spotty results. is it dirty inside and in need of a good clean? are the wires loose on the inside? i dunno. there are some missing pieces (ie: an axle on one of the cars, a metal tab on the connection track, again, the remote) i have wiped off the outside of the train cars but they are probably in need of a good interior cleaning. i didn't even want to open that can of worms. there are still enough good and cool parts and pieces that i am sure someone who knows all about these gems can either get it going or use it to get another train going. i have taken a bunch of pictures to help give you an accurate idea of the condition. please, please, please look at them and enlarge them. i always try to highlight any flaws with the pictures. they are, by far, the most important part of my ad. please allow for color variations from screen to screen. let's keep it real, colors do vary from device to device. this item is a true vintage item. vintage items from my shop are at least 20 years old at the minimum. please expect that this item has been used and loved for at least 20 years. it will have the usual wear, dings and a the "petina" that comes with items that have been used for at least 20 years. if you are expecting an item in "brand new" condition, this item may not be for you.
